Amanda was born in 1986 in Texas. She has been published in over a dozen publications both online and print, including Morbid Curiosity, Living Dead, Sinical, Dark Beauty, Bohemia, Surreal Beauty, Dark Parlours, PlanetFury.com, Blabbermouth.net, Fangoria Magazine, PrettyScary.net and American Horror. She was among the youngest writers to ever have a syndicated regular column on the New York Times content wire, which resulted in her column being published in over 30 states and 4 different countries when she was a teenager.

Amanda is influenced by the likes of Damon Baker, Ellen Von Unwerth and Nan Goldin; she prefers to shoot the outsiders, 'misfits' and unconventional models that shun traditional beauty standards. She uses minimal equipment and virtually no Photoshop in her work in order to capture the most organic, authentic images possible of her subjects.

Among the many notable subjects she's photographed over the years are Stephen King, Amanda Palmer, My Chemical Romance, 30 Seconds to Mars, Corey Taylor (Slipknot/Stone Sour), Rammstein, Cradle of Filth, Linkin Park, NOFX, Marilyn Burns, Thomas Dekker (Backstrom, The Sarah Connor Chronicles), Bob Morley (The 100), Tyler Shields, Natalie Alyn Lind (The Gifted), Robert Englund (A Nightmare on Elm Street), Juliet Sims (The Voice), The Spill Canvas, HIM, The Rasmus, Kill Hannah, Volbeat, CKY, Ryan Dunn and Bam Margera (Viva la Bam / Jackass), Bullets and Octane, Avenged Sevenfold, The Dropkick Murphys, She Wants Revenge, Peter Murphy, HIM, Jade and Nikita Ramsey, Peaches Christ, Jinkx Monsoon, Sharon Needles and Ben DeLaCreme of Rupaul's Drag Race, and many more.

She has also covered SXSW, Vans Warped Tour, Rockstar Energy Mayhem Tour, Rob Zombie's Great American Nightmare and nearly a dozen other festivals and experiences around the United States, and she was the official photographer for the wedding of notable comic book artist John Lucas. She was also a publicist on the set of the feature film Fear Clinic and a secondary set photographer responsible for EPK and publicity materials, and one of her photographs was used for the promotional film poster. Her work was  also used on the film Sacrament as well as promotional images and poster art for Peaches Christ Production's live Castro Theater production of "The Witches of Eastbay" starring Coco Peru and Chad Michaels (RuPaul's Drag Race).  Her photography has been featured in the "Liar" lyric video from musician/actor Thomas Dekker. Amanda also wrote and directed the music video "Superstitions" for Dekker.

Recently, Amanda's photography was used for the cover and promotional materials of the novels The Road Home by Christina Berry and Before and After Michael by Jemiah Jefferson. She directed the music video "Give You My Body" by Grim All Day, and published her first book, Something Wicked

She currently lives in Dallas, Texas.
